Job Title: Project Manager
Reports To: Director of Sales, CV OFF Highway
Location: Morton, IL

SUMMARY:
Heat Exchanger manufacturer is seeking project manager to head up launch of company programs. The ideal candidate will provide strategic guidance to teams, specifically leading initiatives, overseeing progress and monitoring deadlines. Must be a strong leader who communicates at a high level and is instrumental in advising all levels within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine time frame, funding, and required staffing for approved projects.
  • Lead cross functional teams through the development and maintenance of a project timeline throughout the life of the project.
  • Periodically present the status of the project to management.
  • Facilitate and coordinate project activities.
  • Develop and manage the project budget with the team (including development expense capital tooling and expense tooling).
  • Guide the team through decisions to assure products that meet cost targets.
  • Create preliminary product cost estimates in conjunction with accounting, sourcing, manufacturing and engineering.
  • Facilitate team meetings and record meeting minutes.
  • Drive the team (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing ….) towards on time completion of the prototype and pilot build.
  • Manage the collection of project data for gate approvals and release for production.
  • Attend meetings at customer locations as well as through conference calls/virtual meetings.
  • Must work quickly and with accuracy, be highly organized and flexible.
  • Liaise with customers, engineers and manufacturing facilities to ensure understanding for all parties, coordinate schedules, and to execute an efficient program timing.
  • Must have the ability to travel.

Education and Experience:

  • A college degree preferred (Associates or Bachelor’s)
  • Minimum of five years of experience in project management, product design, process engineering or manufacturing engineering with at least 2 years in leadership and project management

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bi-Lingual (English/Mandarin) is a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and outside vendors
  • Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects in a timely and efficient manner
  • Must present in a professional and expert manner
  • Basic knowledge of heat exchanger construction is a plus
  • Identifying problems, analyze information, and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options, solve problems and implement solutions
  • Must be able to make decisions and work independently
  • Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrications processes, casting and injection molding processes is a plus
  • Proven working experience in project management preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs
