The charge air cooler (CAC) is used in cooling charged air from the supercharging system or turbo. The cooling can come from water or ambient air. When the compressed air passes through the cooler it reduced the temperature of the air coming into the engine cylinder. Cooling the intake air temperature can improve intake air density, reduce engine combustion temperature and production of nitric oxide exhaust gas, improve engine power, or reduce fuel consumption.

Features & Benefits

The product structure includes flat tube, Oval tube, tube fin and bar plate construction and can be constructed out of Aluminum, copper, or stainless steel. The structure can be modified to adapt to different mounting conditions and vehicle configurations. Heat transfer, pressure drop and durability can be optimized through tube and fin variations to meet custom performance and packaging requirements.
