The fuel cooler cools unused fuel that is heated after returning from the fuel injection system. The cooler is typically placed in the air stream in front of the cooling module.

Features & Benefits

Fuel coolers can be optimized for cost using a round tube and fin (RTF) product or for performance and packaging size using and extruded tube and manifold product. The manifold product uses a CAB brazing process and the RTF product uses a mechanical expansion of tube to fin. Heat transfer and pressure drop can be balanced on each product using turbulators and fin pitch for RTF and extruded tube geometry and fin pitch for the manifold product.
